A POP!, a Puddle, and a Plumber.

Though some find our year-long adventure glamours, and others tease us about being on holiday for a year, I want to assure you, we are still living in real life.

This past weekend we took a quick trip down to Florence, which was just a short 2-hour train ride.  It would be much like visiting our Friend’s in Cincinnati from Indianapolis.  We left on Friday and came back on Sunday.  We arrived home on Sunday at about 2pm.  Our plan was for Nolan to get in a quick nap and then run a few of our weekly errands to get ready for the week ahead.

However, when we got back to the house, we had a surprise awaiting us.  Nolan went to use the bathroom, switched on the lights, and pop — out goes the power in the house.  Upon investigation, there was a lovely puddle of water in the bathroom, which was dripping from the light fixture above.

Long story short, the homeowner came over, investigated, and called a plumber.  We were asked not to use one of the bathrooms, which happened to be the bathroom with the only shower in the house until the plumber came and fixed the issue. We eventually regained use of the shower, but the toilets remained out of order for the remainder of our stay.
